TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED AS OF OCTOBER 2020: $123,873.96
WHAT:We want to renovate the interior of the chapel for the first time in half a century. This will include necessary repairs and liturgical improvements. The Diocesan Finance Council approved the plan on May 21, 2019.
THE FINAL TOTAL = $277,824.05 The contractor for the project will be Schenkel Construction. WHY:St. Paul Chapel began as a school house purchased at an auction for $169. That was in 1941. During the Second Vatical Council, more land was purchased and the schoolhouse was replaced by the present chapel. HOW:The Pastoral Council and the Maintenance Committee held a series of open meetings and brainstorming sessions. The results:
WHEN:We began a capital campaign fund drive for this renovation project on the weekend of June 22 & 23, 2019. Our goal is to raise the entire amount ($250,000) in pledges, with half the amount of cash in hand. Once the funds are raised in full, we move forward with the renovation. Our goal is to complete the project within calendar year 2020. This is a one-year pledge drive.
