Adults prepare for these sacraments through ceremonies and programs called the RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS - or RCIA.
RCIA - what is it and how do I get there?St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish in Angola begins a new RCIA group every autumn. We meet once a week for an evening learning session, and attend Mass together every Sunday. Along the way, we prepare ourselves for our lives as Roman Catholics. Then on Easter Night every year, new members are brought into full membership of the Catholic Church through the holy sacraments.
